Kenny G - 1982 (Lossless)

I remember first hearing some of these songs on the radio when I was in Tucson,AZ. This is one of his lesser known CD's, but actually has some good tracks on it. The song starts out with a lively version of a song called Mercy, Mercy, Mercy. I actually like this and the next two. Here We Are... is one of my all time favorite songs by Kenny. He utilizes the vocals of a singer that is little known, but sings quite well. His name is Greg Walker. Stop and Go is another up tempo song. The remake of the Eagles song I Can't Tell You Why is okay, but not one of the highlights on this CD. The Shuffle.. is another lively song that I enjoy very much! Tell Me features Kenny G on the flute. This kind of reminds me of the stuff that Nelson Rangell does. Not bad! Find A Way.. is a slower song, with sax in the beginning that sounds a lot like Grover Washington Jr. (one of my favorite sax players, but that's another story) Crystal Mountain... is just a .36 second song that is hardly worth mentioning. The final cut is Come Close...it's short and sweet. That about sums up this CD by Kenny G. It is short and sweet!!!! It also has good production work on it by jazz keyboard player and producer Jeff Lorber. - From Amazon
